Come out and enjoy some robotics this weekend. FIRST Chesapeake District presents the 2019 Southwest Virginia Robotics Competition on Saturday, March 30, 2019 and Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Blacksburg High School. This event is free and open to the public.
Saturday Schedule:
• 9:00 am – 4:00 pm – Welcome and Information Tables Open
• 10:00 am – FLL Jr. Expo
• 10:30-11:00 am – Opening Ceremonies
• 11:00 am – 1:00 pm – Qualification Matches
• 1:00-2:00 pm – Lunch
• 2:00-7:00 pm – Qualification Matches
• 8:00 pm – Pits Close
This year’s game is called “Destination: Deep Space”, simulates a mission to an alien planet where teams work in alliances and pilot their remote-controlled robots to secure hatches and load cargo on space ships.
