Join puppeteers and puppet designer Koryu Nishikawa V. video designer Tom Lee, puppeteer Yukio Tsuji, composer and musician Chris Carcione and video designer Ryugyoku Nishikawa for magical tales of the supernatural presented with beautifully detailed miniature sets, extraordinary effects, and ingenious artistry. This new stage show uses bunraku puppets, video projections, and live music to explore the creative process of Ryunosuke Akutagawa, one of Japan’s most important early 20th-century writers, through several of his short stories.
